It is absolutely gorgeous today. After a rather rainy, humid, buggy start to the month today is outstanding. It's almost 9 a.m. and the temp is only about 78 degrees. It's sunny, birds are chirping and the wind is NNW at about 10 for a great cool breeze. It'll climb to about 85 today but our dewpoint is so low it is a PERFECT July day! Now that you have the northern Wisconsin weather report ....
Here's a retirement card I made for a friend using Pendant Park stamp set. I hope she gets the whole freedom thing instead of being put out to pasture (or the park!) I used Crumb Cake and Naturals Ivory for this card. I also used a tiny dip of Chocolate Chip for the mat on the greeting. The inks were Old Olive and Chocolate Chip. I cut out the park bench with squirrels and popped it with glue dots.
I stamped the greeting from the set Teeny Tiny Wishes (a must have in my opinion) and punched it out with the Modern Label Punch. The mat was created by using the Movers and Shapers Big Shot die. I finished it off with More Mustard Brads.
Take care and have a great day!
Much love and joy,
I guess I thought this set retired. i was so pleased to see it in the new book. I have always loved this set. Thanks for sharing. This card is darling.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great retirement card! I have always loved that set- the park bench with the squirrels is too cute, but I LOVE squirrels, so maybe that's why I love it. I still haven't gotten that set, but I may soon. It is a very versatile set that could fit many different occasions. TFS!
ReplyDeleteLove this set for a retirement card - great choice! I didn't know the movers & shakers created a modern label mat. Neat!
