This one is made with River Rock and Wild Wasabi. Every time I get those colors out I want to use stamp sets from the same era ... funny, huh? I also used Very Vanilla card stock.
I stamped River Rock from the Baroque Motif stamp set onto the River Rock card stock. On the vanilla I stamped River Rock first then used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to position the flourish a little to the right and stamped Wasabi. I stamped a Wasabi flower burst on scrap vanilla, then stamped another one without re-inking (stamped off once). I cut both out and put River Rock stamped circles in the center with antique brass brads. Both were secured with Stampin' Dimensionals.
The vanilla portion of the card has a wasabi mat and the wasabi strip under it is stamped with the same flower burst in wasabi. VV taffeta ribbon completed the project.
Hope you're all doing well. I'm off to the fair today and the dew point is in the 70's. Can you say juicy?? We'll probably go again another day too but the draft horses hitch competition is today and I really love that.
See you tomorrow. Until then, stay cool. Think of me eating snowcones and cotton candy ... oh and ribs of course. Isn't that what the fair is all about? Eating your way through the midway?
Much love and joy,
Really, really lovely, Karen! Those colors are great together! I love how you stamped the image twice really close to one another- great effect! Have fun at the fair! You made me hungry talking about all that yummy food!
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT!!! I'm so happy River Rock is back..I ordered the inks on my first new catty order..
ReplyDeleteLove the color combination -- color is my thing -- I usually start with a color combo and work backwards to a stamp set -- I'm definitely going to use this combo.
