I couldn't resist posting this one, even though it uses retired sets. Mea culpa! We have to use our old friends too, right? And as I always say ... I may be a demo, but first and foremost, I'm a stamper!
My son, Ryan, owns the set Sparkling Summer and it's always been one of our favorites. Here is the Popsicle from the set, perfect for the Fourth of July weekend, right?
It's a 4x4 card in Real Red, with the Whisper White stamped with the Canvas background stamp in Real Red. The Popsicles were colored in Real Red and Creamy Caramel (you could use Crumb Cake here). Then we took Crystal Effects and laid it on the Popsicles with a toothpick to give them a 3D look. Ha! Didn't think I'd get 3D in on this card, did ya? Actually, yesterday was 3D Friday and today is Scrappin' Saturday but I've not had a lot of time to stamp and play so am completely off on bigger projects and pages.
The ribbon is 1/4 inch white grosgrain and red checked gingham which SU just discontinued. The Sweet saying is from Amazing to Zany I believe. Sometimes we lose track, you know. I even have some stamps that have migrated to other sets, just because that's where I use them the most!
Have a great day .... go stamp something!!
Much love and joy,
What a yummy card - my mouth is watering just looking at it!!! LOL!
