Here is a fun one! I used Rich Razzleberry and Always Artichoke card stock for the card and mat. I used WW (Whisper White) for the main panel. I scored the panel at every half inch in a diagonal pattern both directions to get the grid look.
I used the Ornament Punch from the Holiday Mini catalog and punched the vase from Cottage Wall DSP (#115671). I wonder if they will have the punch in the 2010-2011 IB&C (Idea Book & Catalog). I would guess so ... but don't quote me on that. You could use a circle or oval punch for a vase as well.
I used flowers with stems, beads and half pearls from the Pretties kit (#109114) and tinted them with Rich Razzleberry ink and an aqua painter (#103954). I attached a button from the Sherbet Designer Buttons (#116312) and ran some Always Artichoke though my Big Shot with the Stampin' Up! Exclusive Sissix Die Little Leaves (#114511). And that's it! Thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow,
Much love and joy,
This card is a winner too - I really like how you scored the paper for the 2-D look!! I really need to incorporate that into my scrapbooking!!

Great card. Love your ideas. I have tried to score on the diagional, but mine didn't turn out that nice. I would have made a nice mother's day card.

Thanks! Try using scoring every half inch on the complete piece of card stock, THEN cut into the diagonal to put onto your cardfront. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteAlso, Leslie, when you use it for scrapbooking if you make the squares larger you can incorporate photos or faces you've cropped out of candid shots!
Thank you Karen!! Awesome idea on the scrapbook page for some of those pictures I want to just use faces or a small part of the picture and don't want to leave it out entirely!! You have such great ideas!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great Memorial Day weekend!
Beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of using the pretties and the ornament punch! I love the colors you used too. Great card!
