I wanted to let you know that catalog preorder is starting so don't forget to order your new 2010-2011 catalog soon!
Today I've got a simple card using the stamp set Bloomin' Beautiful (#111490). I took retired pink DSP with a muted pattern, and stamped the flowers on with Brown StazOn ink. I then colored them with Watercolor Pencils (#101879)
I mounted the DSP on Chocolate Chip card stock, used the same ink on the same paper to create the greeting. I used Styled Silver Hardware (#111325) to accent the greeting and finished it off with some Pretty in Pink 1/4" grosgrain ribbon (#109032). Easy peasy, huh? Remember to cut the card stock the long way for this one.
Gosh, I'm so excited about the new catalog I can hardly wait. We've been running like crazy enjoying the stellar weather but I have to admit sitting and stamping today really appeals to me. I don't know that I'll get an opportunity to do it but ... I can hope!
Church starts later now that it's summer which seems backwards to me. I'd rather start later in the winter when it's cold, dark and messy outside and start earlier in the summer when you're up with the birds anyway.
I'd better fly,
God bless you and yours,
Very pretty Karen! I like the soft effect that the watercolor pencils give to the image. I also love the Hodgepodge Hardware. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteThanks Marla! I forget to stamp on DSP. I needed the reminder!
ReplyDeleteI love your watercolouring and the hodge podge gives the card a real WOW factor. Such a pretty card :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Karen! It's simply lovely.
ReplyDeleteThank you ladies! Sometimes I get stuck in a rut, in fact, I couldn't remember the last time I played with WC Pencils! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteI love the flower in this set! I think I'll have to finally get it now that it's retiring.
