Memorial Day Gift Card Holder

Here's my Memorial Day thank you note to the troops. It's a gift card holder and meant to be used when they come home to help out with all the household expenses as they look for new work. The card stock is Night of Navy and the lighter blue is Brocade Blue.

While I look forward to the Color Renovation, I'm going to miss all the color options. I'm so picky on what I want for a specific project. I'll miss the three blues at the top of the Rich Regals palette, at least for a little while. Make sure you get your orders in so you don't miss out on the colors you love.

Back to our Memorial Day card. The background stars on the Brocade Blue are a Jumbo Wheel called Classic Stars (#111254). The sentiment is is Real Red from the set Picture This (#118538). The dotted star is a stamp from a retired set but you could use one from the set Seeing Stars on page 123 of the 2009-2010 catalog (#115352) or punch one out from the wheel with the Large Star punch (#110710). The small red star is card stock punched out using Star punch (#109045).

Here's the gift card part.

The card stock is folded so that you can tuck a gift card into it! How sweet is that?

Here's how it looks before you adhere the angles together. The Night of Navy is cut 12x4 inches. Score the card at 4 and 8 inches. Fold diagonally between the 4 and 8 inch score marks. It's just that simple. Make sure to stick the angles down with mono adhesive or sticky strip to hold it all together! That's it!!

If you're wondering where CAS Manic Monday went ... we'll be back next week. I thought some of us might be stamping today so included a few more deets on this card.

Remember I'll send you the Last Chance List sometime tomorrow, so check your e-mail boxes. I'll try to post it on my blog as soon as I can. If you are ordering color specific accessories that are retired colors you may want to hop on line right away and order through my website.

If you place an order through my website or though me I'll send you a card and enclose small samples of the new Core Colors!

Take care and see you tomorrow,
Much love and joy,
