3x3 Mini Gift Cards and Tote

Good morning everyone,

I can't believe it's been a week since I last posted! Work is still crazy and shows no sign of letting up. Stamping, right now, is a distant memory.

It rained Saturday and I planned on getting out the supplies but had to convert my closet from summer to winter apparel first. By the time I got that done, I was pooped!

However, when I was in the closet I found an entire hat box full of 3D projects I'd made so thought I'd post some of those! This cute little note box uses the scallop edge envelope Big Shot Sissix die with Designer Series Paper (DSP). I then stamped the flower, used the five petal punch to punch it out, the Sissix die Little Leaves for the leaves and adhered it with a Build-a-Brad using the same paper as the insert.

Then I made a series of four cards using the same DSP and the Trendy Trees stamp set.

I just love these little trees! They're so versatile.

I used brads for blossoms on this one. (Hint: I've used red brads for apples in the fall cards!)

I also used the scalloped edge punch for the white scallop.

This one has some sponging on the edges too. I put a flower brad in the center of the stamped image and used the scalloped edge punch in a different way here.

Just slip the little notes (they are 3x3 notes) into your little carrying case and you're all set with a quick gift. Our Stampin' Up! Love Note or Mini Envelopes fit this size of card beautifully. They're so awesome with gifts, care baskets, or as a hostess gift.

It's 3-D Friday!

This is so easy! It's a bookmark on a Popsicle stick. I took the stamp set Tart and Tangy, for which I still had matching DSP (do I overconsume or WHAT??) The colors are Real Red, Old Olive and Soft Sky.

Here's what it looks like with the book mark out.

I used the Slit Punch, various circle punches and the Scallop Circle punch. I finished it off with Old Olive 5/8 inch grosgrain ribbon. How fun is this? It's so simple you can make a bunch in one afternoon for favors or gift ideas.

Ryan's back yard sanctuary is going well. We weeded his raised horticultural beds last night and he watered them. He was thrilled that his green beans were blooming and his tomatoes had little green fruit on them. We picked a few onions and he's so proud to be contributing. I'll have his raised beds on my other blog today if you want to check them out. We can stand and garden. With his CP that's crucial for him. Not so bad for my decrepit bones either!

It's 3-D Friday!

I had a 3D project for today but it's so dark here with heavy rain that I can't get a good shot no matter how many lights I have on! So I thought I'd include a previously taken photo with kind of a 3D effect using one of my all time favorite sets, Lovely as a Tree (#115026). The back card is a single layer of Really Rust with WW and Always Artichoke color blocks.

The oak tree is matted with Basic Black and Really Rust. It's adhered to the WW underneath which is decorated with the oak leaves from the set. I used Water Color Wonder Crayons and an aqua painter to color the leaves, tree, and ground the image. The strap like tabs are a product of the Word Window punch (#105090) secured with Antique Brads (#109109).

It's 3-D Friday!

Happy 3-D Friday everyone,

Today I'm using Decor Elements to create a cute canister for dog treats! Why have that icky old box sitting around when you can cute up a glass container instead?

I got the container in the housewares section of WalMart but I'm sure you can find them anywhere. I used a simple Decor Element flower design in Chocolate Chip and a 1/2 felt ribbon in the same color SU sold in their Holiday Mini catalog. Any ribbon will do!

This container is a small canning jar with etched design. I stamped the dog from the D is for Dog stamp set and punched it out with the Wide Oval punch which fit perfectly in the smooth area of the jar meant for labels. I wrapped black 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon around the lid with sticky strip to make it more durable.

The top is a hounds tooth print DSP from the paper pack Night and Day. I cut it with the Circle Scissor Plus and used sticky strip to adhere it to the jar top. I stamped with doggy paw prints from the same stamp set, D is for Dog and that's it!

Have a great weekend! The Blue Angels are in town here so we'll probably watch that. There are too many things to choose from in the summer and I'm not getting my stamping time in!

It's 3-D Friday!

Hi Stampers and Scrappers!

Today is 3D Friday and I've got a note box for you. The DSP I used is retired but you can use any DSP you have on hand. The notes inside are 3x3 with our small envelopes. The notes are kept in  the box with a belly band that I slid toward the bottom of the box.

I decorated it with Pretty in Pink 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon, a Flower Fusion rose red felt flower and a crystal rhinestone brad from the Pretties Kit.

The notes are cut from Purely Pomegranate (You could easily use Rose Red) and Pretty in Pink with Very Vanilla envelopes.

Here's aside view to better show off the DSP I used for the entire box. This project was soooo easy!

3D Friday Calendar Notebook

Hey everyone!

Welcome to my Cyber Craft Room. It's 3D Friday and I've brought out a project that I made some time ago because the colors are coming back! It's cloudy right now so I took the photo sitting on the edge of the window to capture light. I know I need to get some 12x12 paper and make a light box but I just haven't done it yet.

This project was a lot of fun and faster than you think! I started with the 5x5 Art Journal (#108495) and covered the front with Riding Hood Red DSP. I used the Spiral punch (#108341) to create the holes for laying the DSP over the notebook spirals.  I contrasted the RH Red DSP with Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze and So Saffron DSP from the same paper pack. I added the baja, saffron and chocolate buttons from various offers in the SU catty with mini glue dots.  I stamped the tree from Trendy Trees (#113258) onto WW card stock with So Saffron then moved the image down a little and restamped in Riding Hood Red. It doesn't show up here but it really gave it some added dimension. I matted the image on So Saffron card stock and raised with with Stampin' Dimensionals to give it even more pop.

The ribbon is Riding Hood Red Taffeta. For a final touch I tied, baja, RH Red and ch chip taffeta at the top on the spirals. On the inside I used the set Full Calendar (#114966) and stamped a month on each page in Baja Breeze.

That's all there was to it!
