Embrace Life

Happy Wednesday!
Hope you're all enjoying the fabulous weather! I know we are!

Today I have a card using the Embrace Life set (#114958). The base card is made from Kraft (now known as Crumb Cake) card stock. The other colors are Elegant Eggplant and Garden Green. I stamped Garden Green ink onto the garden green card stock and adhered it to the Kraft card. The eggplant went on next for the top portion of the card. The card is cut the long way so that it opens on the bottom. I tied the eggplant ribbon around it before mounting the greeting.

The greeting was the tricky part. You need to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig to alight the words in a square and that's easier to do without the artwork in the middle. I ended up doing the artwork on confetti card stock, punching it out with the 1 1/4 inch square punch (#104400) and matting it with the 1 3/8 square (#103375) in eggplant. Before sticking the artwork square to the mat, I positioned it in the middle of the Kraft piece and drew a line around it with a pencil. This enabled me to stamp the words while using the stamp positioner without the bulk of the double square in the way.

I stamped the greeting in eggplant, then I put the mat and greeting on the card.

Have a great day today! We're supposed to get a little rain and I really hope we do since we didn't water the garden last night based on that assumption.

Happy Stampin'! We'll see you tomorrow with another great project. Make sure to check out the Links I Love area of this blogs for some more awesome cards and scrapbook pages!

Much love and joy,

  1. What a soothing card this is. I could see changing the wording and using it as a sympathy card.

  2. Thanks Jean! I agree with you on the soothing part. Seems like the richer colors will do that doesn't it? Thanks for taking time to comment.
